Story Stitchers work supports African American youth in positive roles as active, leading members of their generation and of the community at large. Youth engaged in the program experience social and emotional support and personal growth, become active and engaged citizens, learn to cooperate and collaborate, have strong mentors and build lasting friendships, and are less likely to become involved in criminal activity and youth violence.
